All bookings must be made directly through us or our authorised booking service partners. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required to secure your reservation. This deposit must be paid at the time of booking.
The balance of the booking fee is payable upon check-in. Failure to pay the balance will result in the cancellation of your booking, and the forfeiture of your deposit.
NightsBridge is responsible for processing all online payments for bookings on our website. At no point will Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse have access to or store your credit card or payment information.
Cancellation Policy
Guests may cancel their booking at any time by contacting Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse directly or through our website. The following cancellation policy applies:
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival date: The deposit will be refunded in full.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival date: The deposit will be forfeited in full.
No-shows: The full booking amount will be charged.
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the cancellation has been confirmed.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-In: Check-in time is from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Guests arriving outside these hours must inform the Guesthouse in advance to make necessary arrangements. Early check-in may be accommodated subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
Check-Out: Check-out time is 10:00 AM. Late check-out may be possible upon request and is subject to availability. A late check-out fee may apply.
Liability
4.1. Guest Responsibilities: Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to the Guesthouse property, whether accidental or deliberate. Any damage must be reported immediately to the Guesthouse management, and guests may be required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
Personal Belongings: Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of guests' personal belongings during their stay. It is recommended that guests take out travel insurance to cover such incidents.
Liability for Injury: Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse, its affiliates and staff are not liable for any personal injury, illness, or death that occurs during your stay. Guests are advised to take all necessary precautions and follow all safety instructions.
Force Majeure: Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse is not responsible for any failure to perform its obligations under these terms due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, lockouts, or other force majeure events.
Use of Facilities: Guests use the Guesthouse facilities, including the swimming pool and common areas, at their own risk. Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur as a result of the use of the facilities or failure to adhere to safety guidelines.
House Rules
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited on the property except in designated smoking areas. A cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who smokes inside their room or elsewhere at the Guesthouse.
Pets: No pets are allowed on the property unless prior arrangements have been made with the management. Service animals are welcome, but guests must notify the Guesthouse in advance.
Noise: Guests are requested to respect the peace and tranquillity of the Guesthouse. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Excessive noise or disruptive behaviour may result in the termination of the booking without a refund.
Conduct: Guests are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful to other guests, staff and the property. Any actions that are deemed inappropriate, disruptive or in violation of the house or other rules may result in immediate eviction from the Guesthouse without a refund.
Right to Refuse or Terminate Stay: Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse reserves the right to refuse accommodation, cancel bookings or evict any guest, without refund, if they fail to adhere to the house or other rules or engage in behaviour that is disruptive, harmful or otherwise unacceptable. This decision is at the sole discretion of the Guesthouse management and is intended to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of all guests and staff.
Privacy Policy
Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse is committed to protecting the privacy of its guests and complies with South African data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information.
Amendments
Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on our website. Guests are encouraged to review these terms regularly to stay informed of any updates.
Additional Rules and Regulations
Imposition of Additional Rules: Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse reserves the right to impose any other reasonable rules, policies or regulations that it deems necessary for the safety, security and comfort of all guests. Such rules may include but are not limited to restrictions on the use of facilities, conduct guidelines or additional safety measures.
Communication of Rules: Any additional rules or policies will be communicated to guests in an appropriate manner, which may include notices in guest rooms, signage in common areas or direct communication via email or at the time of check-in.
Compliance: Guests are expected to comply with all rules, policies and regulations set by Cuckoo's Nest Guesthouse. Failure to do so may result in the termination of the booking without a refund and, if necessary, further action to ensure the safety and comfort of other guests.
